We are seeking up to two experienced multi-skilled tradespersons with a background in fire door installation/remedials and/or fire stopping. This is a field-based role covering commercial and industrial sites — no construction sites — including retail parks, offices, and landmark buildings. Located in Dunmow, Essex.
You’ll work independently across various locations, carrying out high-quality passive fire protection and general multi-trade tasks (e.g., carpentry, painting, groundworks). Applicants from M&E backgrounds (plumbing/electrical) are welcome, provided they’re open to general duties outside their core trade.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am to 16:30pm onsite
Responsibilities:
- Fire door installation, adjustments, and compliance checks
- Fire stopping works
- General maintenance and multi-trade tasks
- Working safely and professionally in occupied environments
- Accurate documentation of completed work (photos, signatures, reports)
- Company vehicle, fuel card, phone & uniform

Requirements:
- Happy to travel/commute to far distances
- Proven experience in at least one trade (carpentry, decorating, etc.)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and flexibly
- CSCS, PASMA, IPAF desirable but not essential
